#31: Me, Jesus and Gill Munn

There was a South Park episode where Cartman took love songs and replaced the girl's name with 'Jesus' so he could cash in on the 'walking praying wallets'. Seemed like a good idea so I tried it with one of my songs but left the last verse untouched by my sinful hand. This was a quick recording; only took an hour. I think I'll probably go back and make this one better sometime. Really wanted to bang one out today for some reason. Ben Dermer wrote the chorus for this song...I think...it was a while ago now.  Ben?

Jesus is here with me I know, don't need no burn, burning bush to show, maybe in time he will realize that him and I can be happy. He was with me, my car broke down, I grabbed my hat and walked to town, I was so warm, I had this song, maybe there's time to change the road we're on. I wear my heart upon my sleeve in hope that he will come for me. Maybe I should get down on my knees and pray that he will set me free. Gill Munn is so pretty, I miss her when I'm not in the city, maybe in time she will realize that her and I can be happy. I wear my heart upon my sleeve in hopes that he will come for me. Maybe I should get down on my knees and pray that he will set me free.
