#42: I'm Exactly Where I Want to be
I had the idea for this song last night. I woke up, wrote the song, recorded it and then went to Jerk King. Have you ever had someone tell you that you 'need a check-up from the neck-up' and then when you tell them that in fact you're feeling happy, content and totally balanced they tell you that thinking you're fine is the first sign that you're completely nuts? Well it's happened to me a few times now and that's what this song is about. People are so weird.
Don't go to work, don't have a job, I can't afford these cell phone calls, that's exactly where I want to be. Saturday night my mother calls, I'm home alone doing sweet fuck all, that's exactly where I want to be.
If my hearts on fire, water is the only thing to soothe me.
And If these crooked legs don't work, crutches are the only thing to move me.
Please don't say a prayer for me, I don't need a remedy, I'm exactly where I want to be.
Your the second girl to talk like this, saying I need a therapist but I'm exactly where I want to be,
I don't mind the scary dreams, my so-called edge, my so-heard screams, that's how god intended me to be.
sounds like johnny cash! great music to have a glass of wine to. i should know...
