#63: Warmth Upon Our Knees
On the weekend I was thinking about a short poem I wrote a month ago that goes 'Fire's passion and hope's a breeze; love's the warmth upon our knees'...this inspired some piano playing and then it turned into a song. Kristin Cleland was kind enough to sing the harmonies and chorus (and buy me nerds).
I don't know if you'll ever understand this and I don't know if you'll ever come through. I don't know if I'm being straight but I just can't take the fucked up things that you do. And I've got passion, it's fire and I've got hope, it's a breeze; but I wanna feel the love, feel the warmth upon our knees. I don't know if you ever really loved me and I don't know if I ever really knew, the only thing that every person craves is the only thing that you don't know how to do.
it sounds lovely!
ReplyDeleteJust having a coffee and I think the piano is raising my blood pressure lol!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat vox.
SBOP
Good piano. Could imagine the song in the background of a conflict scene between two teenagers. Strong words and duel of young lovers.
