This is pretty much exactly why I started this 100 song project. Inspiration credit to Mike Schuyler for bringing over the Live Aid 1985 DVDs which got me on a good three week Freddie Mercury kick. And a credit to Liszt and his Liebestraum No. 3 in A flat for the first two chords of this song. And an extra special thanks to the great people at Madacy who compiled the Classical Meditation CD that I could buy for only $3.99!
Your life was like a bed of roses and you're with us still, gay as a daffodil. Your music shone with theatrical taste but you bit the dust and a pillow case. And I will never let you die. You mean more to me than you can imagine. No I will never let you die. The only rock 'n roll singer (besides Neil Young) who can make me cry. And you read my mind when you said, that 'sometimes you wish you'd never been born at all'; so carry on, carry on.
There is something very unique about this one-- a poetic tribute to Freddie including musical references without being being a boring medley of songs from We Will Rock You... I enjoy how you craft your lyrics...
