#20: Protesting People

A short comment on the g20 protests. I didn't keep writing after the first verse and chorus since I essentially said everything I wanted to say. And that worked out well because I'm super busy trying to finish recording the Small Town Treason EP (now called 'the pearl') and I haven't had a lot of time to write new music or lyrics. But the cool thing is that I've made it to song 20 in about 2 months and if you do the math and have access to my bank account you'll see that equals getting to 100 before running out of money!

It really seemed like violence just for the hell of it. Burning cop cars and smashing stores, rationalized by a first year politics course. But I got that anger in me; I feel caged up like you. I love these protesting people 'cause I want to break windows too. And maybe let someone know, that I've got a stone that I'm gonna throw.

  2. Great song! It tells me that a lot of protesters are there because they are angry and confused and want to strike out. Not as much protesting as crying out in anger.
