#21: Song #21

I wrote this song a while ago but lost the sheet music and couldn't remember the chord changes or the melody. Then yesterday it came back to me while sitting at the piano. But it came back as a much darker version of what I had written before. This time I heard much more dissonance, anxiety, fear, doubt and innocence in the song.

  1. Very nice'n'soundtracky with a juicy dollop of Robert Smith thrown in. I like this one....it's BIG.

  2. I like how the dissonant and dark sounds at the beginning reappear at the end; after the uplifting centre portion, I hear the dissonance return, but along with it I also hear hope and confidence.

I also think it sounds "soundtracky", which some might interpret as having a negative connotation, but I mean it in the sense that the music can easily evoke and accompany visual images and ideas.

In #22, you say that you find it strange to create music without lyrics, but this one works for me.
