I couldn't leave without writing my 60th song. Yesterday I sat down with my guitar and played the first thing that came into my head. Then I sang the first melody I could hear. And finally, I wrote about the things most on my mind, which happened to be leaving the country for two months and Dr. Faustus (I was looking at a card on my desk that my parents had given me that had a Goethe quote). Anyways, good-bye for two months. I'm leaving.
The devil's here to take me away and there's nothing I can do my darling. He came to visit me a month ago this day and I couldn't tell you my darling. He offered me knowledge and he put in a way that I couldn't say no my darling. Now he's back and I gotta go away and there´s nothing I can do my darling.
Loved it, but it didn't last long enough. Super string accompaniment, short story told...I want to hear the rest of the story!
